The Valley of Salvation Oh yes. There was a time in my life, I spent all of my time free from cares and strife. I'd do what I liked, whenever I pleased. Every pleasure in life I eagerly seized. But my heart grew weary, and emptied of joy in the things that once enticed and tempted. Everything began falling apart, nothing seemed fair! In no time at all I found myself in the pit of despair. I found myself in the pit of dispair... with no one to turn to, bowed my head in prayer. "Dear Lord, oh God! If you will hear me ... I know that I'm needing what only you can give me. I know I've done wrong. Will you please forgive me? Please take me back! Let me know you forgive me!" It was then I felt His Spirit near... I knew right then what I needed to hear... "I will not forsake you. I never will leave. I'm here for you always. There's no need to grieve. Lose the world. Reclaim your soul, born anew. Reclaim my promises. My Spirit is still with you." I thought my soul was in the pit of dispair... I'd been so lost, and I did not know where. I felt within, a quickening sensation!
