please man tell me how u did the lighting bolts??? volumetric lights? texturemaps??? what!!!! great work!

The large lightning bolts on her body and the smaller ones on her arm are procedurals [i think maybe perlin noise, cant remember]. The [fairly crappy] ones which come out from her arm are just glowing lines with a displacement map applied. As for the big one... well, id prefer to keep that a secret. Red glow around ball comes from a lens flare and the lights coming out are just very brightly lit volumetric lights with a gradient set to decrease the luminosity as it gets further down the Z-axis. [I dont know if this is necessary or not, but seems to work]. Oh yer and the textures are just simple UV maps.
