Description
January 26th is Republic day in India. The celebration of independence was visible everywhere. Even at sunrise in a little village kids were parading.

Thank you so much for selecting this for one of the "picks of the week". And thank you for your very nice comments! This was not an easy picture to shoot. It was early morning, the lights were great... and this small school apparently celebrated the day. We were in a car, I wanted to get the car stopped, but in a split second I realized that I would not get the mood and the light I wanted. So I selected to shoot through the car window. I found it very difficult to take "spontaneous shots" when we were there... Best to ask first, and then the mood would go away. But I got a few this time... AND I have secured my pictures from this travel! lol so there will be more :) Britt
