Description
On the road in rural, western India (near Aurangabad on our way to the caves in Elora and Ajanta), we stumbeled upon something special! :) January is spring season, and the local farmers harvested Supra. The plant yielded a small, green pea like fruit, which was normally dried. But when fresh, it is a delicacy that few (even Indians) get to taste. We were in luck! The plants were picked straight from the field, and the farm wife BBQ'ed them. After a few minutes over the glowing cow manure the plants were beaten to release the little green warm "peas". We got them served with yoghurt and home made relish! Delicious! :)
