Description
G'day. This is a view of Melbourne taken from the Rialto tower in central Melbourne. The view looks south onto Port Phillip Bay. The lake in the foreground is Albert Park Lake and you can see part of roads where the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix race is held every March. The main straight and pit buildings are the ones (blue tinge) behind the trees on the bottom left. In the middle distance is views to St Kilda and Brighton Beach and beyond and in the far distance is Mount Martha . Port Phillip Bay is a huge sunkland (with geological fault lines on either side) and is still slowly sinking today.
Enjoy
Lou
