Description

This is actually an image for a game I'm working on, but turned out better than most of the others, so I decided to hand it to the coyotes here. ;) It's the picture of the most sacred altar of the goddess Helen, the Blood Queen -- the (hopefully) famous Blood Fountain. The statue is V3 with a stone texture applied, the base and the spurting blood particle effect I made in 3D Studio and exported via .obj to DAZ|Studio, where I assembled the whole scene and rendered. No postwork. Actually I'm a bit surprised how well that stone texture turned out, it's one of the 3DS ones modified in Photoshop to be redder. I was sorta playing with it, it didn't look all that good in 2D, but when I tried it rendered to see what needed to be changed... it just kinda worked. Anyways, enough rambling... feel free to let me know which parts need work. :)

Thanks...guess your monitor is like this one, hehe. I just pulled it up on my secondary computer and it's way too bright there, not spooky at all. Going to have to ask you guys, which is more common? The dark version, where you can barely make out the corner on the wall to the left, or the bright version where the fountain base looks really out of place on that floor? Or somewhere between?

Somewhere in between here. I tend to set my brightness higher though, dark tends to make the eyes strain a bit. Nice concept and nice lighting on the flames.
