Description

~ reflective ~ first in a series of portraits... a little photographic interlude... :) i'm currently trying to enhance my photographic abilities... especially with portraits... and i had a wonderful model... thank you sweety... :) what do you think...?!? any ideas, suggestions?!? location: bavaria framing: obviously... tool: canon eos 50e + fuji neopan 1600 (b/w-print film); layout/&framing -> Xara xtreme postwork: PSE3 --- next posting: ~ sensual lips ~ previous posting: ~ perfeCt Hair 4EVER ~ oh - well... ranking is open - but: i'd like to get honest ones... so a honest "NICE" with a useful comment is more worth than an excellent what is not meant this way... ;)
thanks for stopping by and watching :) and of course - critics, thoughts, whatever are welcome - the more useful the better... ;) so don't hesitate to point out things which could be done better... thank you! -christian

I like the duality that's here...extreme white and extreme black, split down the middle.Very edgy and your text reinforces the 'split' nature,as if the halves somehow mirror or 'reflect' eachother.Of course, that may not be what you meant,at all, lol.I have been working on portraiture, too.Quite a fun challenge, isn't it?Well done,Christian.-M :^)

It's cool! Great composition and of course the postwork is always gut-geschmackt. (spelling?)

Excellent high contrast photography of Nina in a reflective mood. I look forward to seeing what you do in your series of portrait photography Christian. Your presentation is very fitting and I love the typography.

I am on the fence with this one. On one hand I like the feel of the 60's with the Beetles and the way new and hip photography was undertaken, on the other hand I feel a little less contrast since it feels it is neither a high contrast nor moderate contrast. Agree with Suzanne in regards to the typography. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting work. IMO a little bit to dark on the right, but I think, it was your intention. Fantastic presentation!!

well the lighting is beautiful it has the rembrandt nose shadow that tones in with the darker/ heavier contrasted b/w.. which works.. it leaves an impression upon the mind and draws you into the moodiness... work s for me.. beautiful:)))

I guess that if I could measure the quantity of light and dark side the result would be surprisingly perfect - there's a certain ballance between the parts; although that "too much light" on the right side of the face erase almost every detail of it, I'd say this is a good portrait!

Kinda of pantaloonish. I like it, soft, unspoken mood to her.
