Description

I rendered the 2 cars next to each other using the background image you see as the IBL light (unmodified) and as the sphere texture map for reflection backgrounds (again unmodified) if you want to use a standard image in this you have to make sure the image is symetrical for it to work properly. I think it came out quite well indeeed. 1 IBL light 1 Specular only Infite Light Firefly render Raytraced Reflections ShadowMap (512) shadows at 20 blur radius thanks for looking! *edit* Incase there is someone out there who doesnt think this a render, go to this link to see the original image. I left the banner accross the bottom of the photo because A: I didnt take the photo, and B: its a copyrighted photo used without permission http://www.sr-71.org/groomlake/2004/highway-375-south-2004-01.htm

It is well done, I ike it a lot.. Here is some constructive comments: the cars are to big for the road... they should not fill up a whole lane. Either the Lens used in the photo seems to be a bit wider angle than the ones used in the render as the road has much more fore-shortening going on it it than the render.. IE the road gets narrower faster than the cars do... OR the fact that the cars are too big for the road is overshadowing to perspective giong on. However I still think it is very good... The other thing that tipped me off was the highlight on the front of the lambo, which is not on the dodge.... in the lower left corner of it's bumper/hood... something odd is happening with your light there that spoils the illusion...

Excellent work once again, although i have to agree with brian on the size issue, and i must say that the dodge's lights seem a bit unreal to me, but that might just as well be my perception. Nevertheless, great work as usual

It did work except the cars are too big for the lanes. Even if they were very old 8 foot lanes they are too big and definitely too big for 10 foot lanes width. What I really like is how you dealt with the tendency for an image to push the models to the lower frame. They even need to back up the road a bit to the only place that fits the photograph. The headlights, glass and paint are nice and bright on these worthies.
