Description

I am very thankful to several excellent artists who in various ways suggested to me not to use other's artists free files, but to upload my "own" works. I am taking my first step today like a child learning how to walk (learning and developing my own skills). This is my own work, all done in Terragen, no additives no preservatives :) only postwork done in PS 7.0 includes resizing and signature. Thank you very much for viewing and your always supportive comments. Have a beautiful and safe week everybody! Love you all.

Excellent, now I can really comment (Bravo for taking this step). Try bringing up the haze and atmospheric blue (haze quite a lot, atm blue to your own desire) This should help give some good depth, and make a bridge between the land/clouds/sky/sun that terragen likes to make look like seperate planes. Water is nice, especially the surf, but lower the sun reflection! I try to use a sun reflection of 1.000 with a spread of 40-47. Personal taste, but my sun reflection rarely goes above 1 and often down to .05. Nice mood here, but I would love to see a little more. Maybe just a tad lighter. Don't take these comments to be harsh or mean, I'm just glad to have your own work to comment on, and now you can really start to improve :). Again, Bravo!

beautiful scene Mario and I agree there is too much reflection. it takes one's attention away from the other parts. I wish I could have done this well. maybe I will try again

Agree with sanosoke in re the technical stuff. But you clearly have a good eye, this is wonderful. I do like the pov and surfaces on the cliffs and the placement of the sun is right on. Bravo for going your own way.

Yeahhhh Mario!!!!!! I am thrilled you've gone out on your own, it's a good feeling and now you can build your own files from here... The sky is mood and dark, I would also raise the haze a bit and lower the sun's intensity. You've a wonderful start here, your surfaces are superb as is the water... Looking very forward to your next!!!!!!

It's been all been said - especially note the sun's reflection settings. I like the mood and sunset colours :)

Mario, This is wonderful! Love the sunset, the deep shadow of night falling, I especially love the light that is cast on the land!

Eoin is right (like so often! lol). It's not wrong to take other people's files for learning or even for a render (and you always gave credit), but I appreciate this step, too! You're a quick learner and will produce great "own" stuff - I'm sure! Here you have a nice composition. More haze is an option, but maybe try raising the shadow lightness too. Keep it coming, my friend! :-)

It is beautiful. You do great sunsets. I don't think the reflection is too big. Sometimes the sun going down or coming up colors the whole world in a rush of blinding light. But it do be a tiny bit dark on the left side. :~(
