Description

GOOOOOOOOAAAALLL!!!! Have a nice day whatever happened yesterday. Many thanks for previous comments. Might as well start packing my bag seeing as how good old British National Rail doesn't do trains in this part of England at the weekends. I'll just start walking to Stansted airport. It will be quicker.

Yay! Very original work, Rozanne! Hmmm, well, Dutch Railways are starting to do something in the UK as well, but they use square wheels LOL! Just looked up your location, might be a nice journey allowing you to see more of the wonderful landscape but um... for backpacking it is perhaps not the best time LOL! Take care, Rozanne :)

This reminds me, I must try harder on my diet, Rozanne. Over 30 years ago, at a Ne'er Day party I sat down heavily ( sober but heavily ) on a ladder back chair, and the chair's legs just gave way. Our hostess just collapsed in paroxysms of laughter, but my wife 'slagged me' for years about my weight. Seriously, this is a great shot. As for VIRGIN, GNER or whatever rail company let you down, it is the same up here. They have reinstated lots of old Pre-Beeching lines in west central Scotland under the Strathclyde Passenger Transport Executive, and suddenly we could get trains everywhere. Then the Scottish Executive ( devolved Scottish Parliament - domited by Edinburgh ) decided on a national plan. This meant that many of the smaller routes had their Sunday service withdrawn ( except for the pre-Christmas shopping period of course ). In England the companies have recently been given a free reign to put up prices so much, that in some instances it is cheaper to take a 'plane!! Regards, John.

I feel sorry for the tree but I am looking forward to the Chelsea Bar match in the Champion's League! Which side will you support? (I think I can guess - lol)
