Description

This one is a co-star from the scene I'm working on, "the Summoner" (supposing this'll be the definitive title), of which a full preview is provided by my previous image in the gallery (along with a lengthy discussion on my first experience in porting from Poser to C4D and then working with the latter). I indulged in the pleasure of flying the camera around in the scene, and this is the result. BTW a background here's missing as the scene is built to be view in almost the opposite direction, yet the black colour quite fits the candle-light mood, I think. I liked the proportions in this "behind the scene" picture, with this "miniaturized" nice dragon (though I wouldn't dare assuring it's safe to caress its head ;) ), also I feel the presence of just few elements (and the black backdrop too!) contribute positively to the picture's mood... So I hope You'll like it! Thanks!

I think the candle needs work. The dragon looks as though it's floating above the table.

Excellent work!! Bellissima immagine!! la scelta dell'angolazione della camera e la luce sono ottimi!! effettivamente la candela avrebbe bisogno di qualche miglioria, ma direi che nel complesso l'img is WONDERFULL;-)!!!!

I agree with Turner about the candle flame, it's far too dim. Try to do a bit of postwork in a painting program like photoshop to get a more detailed looking flame rather than relying on the Cinema 4D preset lens effect. I'd add a few alpha maps to the wing membranes too as they look a bit too perfect.

Thank You my friends! This is my first post in the C4D gallery, and I'm pleasantly surprised by recieving so many good "operable" advices!!! It's very stimulating! A "persisting" thanks also to my friend Tos, who indomitably follows me and always had this kind of look+advice for my pictures (wherever I put them)!

Happy to see that you're becoming an all-round artist in such a short time! I admire your courage in taking on all these different things! I like the image, the lights and the composition on its own, despite its little shortcomings, considering that it's still a work in progress.
