Description
This is the second of 5 images I'll be posting this week. I'm participating in a project that we've named "3 Minutes With The Hunter". This is a FILM project in which we're taking shots of Orion The Hunter using various telescopes and lenses. A discussion was brought up as to what one can really capture in a very short exposure (in astrophotography, exposures can typically last an hour or longer).
Unfortunately, my focus wasn't as sharp as it should have been. This shot was through a 9.25" telescope at f/10 (yesterday's post was at f/6.3) using Kodak E200 slide film. Again, it is only a 3 minute exposure.

still an excellent capture. I would love to be able to use my telescope with my Canon

Hey brevis, maybe you should have a link to the previous shot(s) so comparisons can be made. This is awesome and educational for the photographers out there as well as am-atronomers. Great work! KP

Awesome. Film photography through a telescope is NOT easy due to reciprocity failure etc.. People get over that with using hypered film but who wants to go to that trouble. My solution, use a webcam. You can get some astounding results with a simple webcam.
