Description

Shot at Disneyland, California on 2/12/06 behind the Castle. I know, a deviation from the usual aircraft I post on here! :-D I actually go to the Disneyland park on an almost weekley basis to take photos and just walk around. Gotta love Annual Passes! Helps that I'm only 5 minutes away from teh park though! I'm sure many of you saw the movie 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe' or at the very least read the book and seen the previews for the movie. Shortly after, Disneyland made a little area behind the castle that had a big overhang for the movie and dramatic 'cool' lighting. And then one day, the Ice Queen was there. By far the BEST casting job I've EVER seen Disneyland do for a character, she's just about dead on to the movie. But just showing this photo doesn't give her full credit, the cast member has the perfect voice to match the movie actress and she plays the part in character to a T. She's always mean and teasing, much like the movie's Ice Queen is. Shortly after this photo was taken, Snow White happened to be walking past and she got into a verbal fight with the Ice Queen. Unscripted improv of course, but still terrifying to even the adults! If you can make it out to Disneyland to see this particular cast member playing the Ice Queen (there's one other cast member who plays her who is not nearly as close), it's well worth the trip. Now I just have to work up the nerve to walk up to her and say 'I heard Aslan is on the move!' This is the first posting of a photo from my new Canon EOS 5D (12mp) Camera. Lens was a Canon 100-400mm USM IS F4.5L lens.

Thanks for the photo of the ICE QUEEN, this photo captures the person and not the movie queen. She is a person who knows her place in time and space.

Sad News for all who read this... The last performance of the Ice Queen was Thursday 2/16/06! She has now been replaced with the "Villain's Lair" which showcases random villian characters that will be there. Sad to see such a wonderful cast member go :-(
