Description
The sound trickles,
permeates my soul,
bringing rest to my sadness
of being alone.
Bubbling water,
healing,
soothing jaggered edges
of frayed temper.
No more counting
one to ten,
Just sit
and listen.
I sigh deep,
relaxing,
letting go of stress,
of strife.
I feel at ease now,
Cleansed
by the power of water,
the liquid energy
of earth.
The wind blows,
rustling the leaves
of the tree above me.
A bird flitters from branch
to branch.
A quick spurt of sound
to a background rustle,
with trickling noise.
A sharp whistle calls,
Chirps.
An answer from far
Sends the tiny body
feathering down
to sit
on a rock
next to me.
I am home.
