Description
The Crater Copernicus (on the moon).
Taken with an 8" Reflecting scope and a ToUcam webcam.
The moon is 240000 miles away. The setup I was using was set at a magnification of 600x. So this picture is equivalent to flying just 400 miles from the surface of the moon.

For those interested, the crater shown here is visible on my post from yesterday as a large white lumpy crater in front of the young lady's nose (Moon and Venus). It looks very different here because it was on the very edge of the lit portion of the moon, that is, it was approaching evening with very long shadows.
