Description
This is where I was born.
The view is of the Vale of the White Horse in Oxfordshire, England. The White Horse is a 4000-5000 year old image of a horse carved in the chalk on top of a scarp slope facing the Thames Valley. You can see the Horse's face in the forground.
The little Hill at the bottom of the slope is called Dragon Hill. Legend says that is where St George killed the Dragon (it was devouring maidens out of season). The white mark in top of the hill is bare chalk. Apparently, the dragon's blood spilled here and the grass has never ever grown back.

Haha thankyou!! Yes a great vista of this wonderful place I was going to post one but will leave it for another day a bit further down the hill.. Berkshire may lay clain to it but I guess all 3 countties are proud of it.. Another story regarding the grass never growing there relates to the Battles fought against the Vikings where blood ran down the hill from the slaughter..
