Description

This shot is from a section of coast line I don't usually go to, but thought I would check it out as the waves were hitting this shore more than usual. It was quite overcast but I managed to get some shots...gotta work with what mother nature gives you sometimes. A great weekend to All and thanks for your kind comments on my previous images..Much Aloha to everyone!

I love it, thats such an awsome shot. The mist of the waves smashing against the shore and then the overcast, just add up to one awsome image.

Excellent seeing and perfect timing! Excellent cropping & composition as well. Very nice color. Good depth illusion and dynamic range, except that the foreground shadow detail is gone. Great feeling! I would have manually smoothed out the unsharpmask line around the foreground rocks in Photoshop.

I'd never mistake that for FL coast. Such a dynamic meeting of land and sea. This one photo exemplifies the raw natural beauty that is my favorite part of HI. You captured it perfectly, and the depth draws me in, and in, and in.... Shave and a hair cut? ;]

Some hefty waves there Dave. Great shape and eye catching composition. You always manage that little hint of turquiose behind the wave.....magical, I love it.

Wonderful. Beautiful waves and spray which you manage to capture so well. I like the setting with the trees up on the rocks.

Land and water and the thin invisible line we call the shore that seems to move, now a bit towards the land, another time a bit towards the sea.... sigh Fantabulous action capture of these waves breaking on the rocky coastline! Outstanding work, Dave! What a joy to see this in action! :) vote
