Nice photo, Rozanne. I didn't see any crocidiles in the Lake District at the September weekend. Last time I was in St. Annes, in Lancashire, though, it was difficult walking through the main shopping road due to the massive roadworks. To make matters worse for overburdened tourists there were multiple, immaculately dressed and synchronised school 'crocodiles" - all female, causing delays and mini-detours too. I can't say that I have ever seen a male school crocodile - although on one school walk to a church service in the early 1960s, in deepest darkest Lanarkshire, our ( all boys ) senior secondary did give a reasonable fascimile, crossing main roads, over a ricketty railway footbridge, passing a steelworks etc. Hope you are enjoying your Cumbrian jaunt. I am sure that you do not get lost. Regards, John
