Description

Taken yesterday, February 19, 2006 at Disney's California Adventures right next door to Disneyland. While not the most popular of the two parks, Disney's California Adventures (known as DCA by locals around here) has some fantastic rides and still holds some records. In a new survey done by various sources, most people prefer DCA's food over Disneyland's food now. The resturants, such as Taste Pilot's Grill, Ariel's Grotto, etc have become a big favorite among people. The very popular 'Soarin Over California' (my favorite attraction of both parks) is recorded to be the most popular attraction of both parks. Many people do not know that there is an entire lake at DCA. One of the 'themed' areas that are parts of California. The lake emcompases the 'Boardwalk Pier' theme looking mych like the Santa Monica Pier. Carnival Games, Ferris Wheel, Rollar Coaster, and some other thrill attractions make up this area of the park. This shot was taken hand held with the Canon 5D camera at 1/25 shutter speed and ISO 650. Lens was a Canon 28-105mm.

What a beautiful capture. I'm glad you could crank up the ISO so you didn't smear the lights. Well done.

Slow shutter speed and for something which relishes crips detail! Cool! Have you considered eliminating the building on the far right (as far as is possible, of course). It might tighten the composition. (I'm being fussy, as usual - sorry) Cliff.

I visited California Adventure for the first time 2 Thanksgivings ago. I thought it was a fun park. I just loved that Soarin' over California ride! You're right, the food is better over there, but I still love ol' Disneyland. This photo is magical!!!!
