Description

Shot Monday, Feb 27, 2006. The goal was to recreate World War 2 era (1940s) pin-ups and Military Aircraft nose-art of the time as best as possible with limited resources. The shoot was sot with a High Key backlight and purposly trying to make the models look more washed out for an artistic painted mimic. Turned out very well! Model is Elizabeth Ashley. Great great model, she's one of the best I've ever worked with. Fantastic ideas and a pleasure to photograph! Taken with a Canon Rebel EOS 5D (12mp) and Canon 28-105mm USM lens. Shot at a studio where I work in Anaheim, CA.

Great theme and capture, Britt! She'd look right at home on just about any one of those warbirds! I can just hear Tommy Dorsey playing on the old Victorola...
