Description

Woman Is The Nigger Of The World Bryce5.5 design, 2d.lst file prep/merge, 3DS custom mats & radial lighting: www.sazzart.com Commentary text is solely that of the artist! Model: Cordula Model photography: mjr@ranum.com Actions DO speak louder than words. This very symbollic design was inspired, by a song written by John Lennon, as well as various comments under recent postings I did, and recent current events world wide. Spaceship Earth has always been portrayed as female. The female gender, historically, has not been treated equally, NO matter which faith or "culture" you belong to. A lot of recent news & comments from viewers have caused me to make the following observations; and please remember that my whole life's training was to deal in facts, or actions as opposed to "theorectical" expression. There are more Muslims in the USA than the entire population of Afghanistan. Even with our rights of free speech and assembly you do not see the American Muslim community going on rampages, killings and what not over the "Danish cartoon caper". I find it very telling, that Islamic followers, so readily resort to violence, especially since Islam is described as the "Religion of Peace". And by the way, I've seen, not just in American newspapers, worse "political" cartoons than Mohammed wearing a bomb turban, yet you don't see us rioting, attacking other country's Embassies, most recent, the USA's Embassy in Jakarta,Indonesia. Or bombing their own people & Mosques, as just happened in Iraq. A certain foreign friend sent me an email basically asking, "What the fec is happening?" about the same time, another foreigner attacking me personally, said, "...only a fool would die for his country, and the world'd be better off without the USA..." Tell you what; I'd rather die fighting for freedom as I understand it; than live enslaved under a religion that beheads people, fosters a Stone Age culture, and most importantly, has NO "Live & let live" in its tenets. Yes, the USA is far from perfect; BUT, we have "rule by majority" NOT by a handful of Imams, who claim a direct line to Allah. I see a polarization in this world, its very sad, as I believe that reasoned dialogue makes for peaceful existance; and more than sad is the growing number of Americans I hear from saying, "I'm not going to take this foreign crap anymore." All these factors is like some human, caught between two major schools of beliefs, imprisioned inside a set of limitations that has no exit; and upon tearing a way out, is going to find MORE blood fueled chaos, due to aforementioned religious AND political intolerance in certain parts of the World. THAT is the meaning of this design. Thanks for viewing. SEMPER FI ~SAZ~

A creative image & very thought-provoking commentary. I have no love for radical fundamentalist Islam whatsoever - I find suicide bombings & killings over cartoons to be obscene distortions of "spirituality". But I also believe that anyone who feels they have a monopoly on the truth - whether they be Muslims or Christian, Iranians or Americans - and who feel entitled to impose their views on others through force & violence (as we are in trying to impose democracy on Iraq), are the cause of most of the suffering in this world. And I also think it's a stretch to say that the U.S. has "rule by majority" - we have evolved into a more subtle form of tyranny in which corporate money has seized control of our government...

This may seem weird...but,I agree with both Sazz and eyeland on this one! This also may sound crass and uncaring, but, I actually feel more empathy for animals than I do humans these days. Yep! thats right...full fledged PETA member, among many other animal rights organizations. The mixture of religion and man leaves a horrid stink in the air of rotting corpses that burns my eyes. Maybe it's just too much news reporting, and the 24-7 images of sensational world events that have numbed my senses. Thanks for the telling images and thoughts,Sazz...sorry I ranted.

@turner: Hello again too. Its ok to be a sceptic; I'm inclined that way myself, why I do research-love of learning not withstanding-at last count there s 8.3 million people listed their religion as Islam,& if I remember correctly, one of the greatest concentrations of same is in the Michigan area. As for the Embassy remark in Jakarta, I refer you to the CNN live news report, last Sunday & Tueswday I believe it was. As for your "art critique" the texture & reflection are fooling your eyes, be happy send you a wireframe screenshot ;-D ~SAZ~

PREVIOUS POST "Hello again. I would like to know where you get your facts from. Mmmmmm. Dubious. As for the image, I find it a little flat, there seems to be no differentiation between fore, middle and background. But hey, that's my opinion and not all opinions are right. ;) " 8.3 million? There are more people in Afghanistan than 8.3 million (29 million). http://www.adherents.com/rel_USA.html.=1.5 million islam. This is just one of many sites that state that Islam is far less than 8 million. Although this report is 5 years old I cannot see how a religion can grow that much in such a short space of time. Oh and by the way the reflection is not "fooling" me.

Hi Saz, first of mate I like what you have done here within your design. 2nd I am so glad I dont fall into this war on religion! As we grow and science reveals the secrets of old, some people seem to think we are heading into Armageddon! But i say this it wont be God who wipes us out, it will be ourselves if people kill over the written word. Why should the Devil do is work, when he can sit back and let us do it for him!!!.Bravo!!!...:))

Geez, see what happens when I don't stay up with your art??? This is one of those subjects that is a sore point with so many people. Everyone has passionate feelings about this. I was raised as a Baptist. Organized religion is how I now refer to it. I am more of a pagan than anything else now. But for many years, I studied, and I don't mean read, I mean studied, with a 20 pound Strong's Concordence and a variety of Bible translations. Yes, I will tie it all up, please bear with me. Personally, I think mankind has given 'God' a bad rep! For thousands of years mankind has killed, ravished, plundered, raped and murdered in "God's" name, whether the name was El, Jehovah, Allah, etc. I never could figure out how from the Old Testament to the new, God went from being a creator who told the Hebrews to destroy all of certain tribes of people, including their cattle and goods, to someone like Jesus, who showed compassion, love, forgiveness. What we have here is the greed, the lust for power and control. I agree with you on why we are in Iraq. I thought it back during the first war over there. Check out the Book of Revelation. Don't remember which chapter, but the reading will do you all good! lol Perhaps also Isaiah. The scriptures that refer to the 'End times' and how Babylon will be destroyed in a day and all the "Merchants" will wail and be dismayed, basically. It isn't about spiritual beliefs, if one believes in Armageddon. It is about power, world domination and commerce! Your image is wonderful! Your insights and writing, moreso!

A very, very late comment. I actually just browsed this series in your gallery in reverse order and seemed most appropriate to comment at the first one. I agree with sentiments about some religions keeping it followers in the dark. It would not serve well to allow it's congregations to seek truths. They might just "find". But... A lot of wrongs have been committed by a lot of religions throughout history of man, yes! But... religion and God are two seperate items. God created all men. A father would not love two son's and not want the two son's to love each other would he? So what happened? Satan happened. He polarized, stole, plundered, men's minds until the Father will call an end to it as noted in Revelations.
