Description

This 'Lake' is actually a flooded limestone quarry outside of Logansport, Indiana. Most of it was covered in ice when this was taken on 2/13/06. Thanks for looking and I hope your days are as fulfilling as ours! Ken

OK, first words out of my mouth... "Damn that looks cold!!" You know, I was supposed to take my scuba diving certification test in a quarry like this one. My instructor took sick on that day and I got a different guy. He took me to the Cooper River instead. (It's located in Charleston, SC and it's just like diving in coffee.) I would have loved this a whole lot more. What a beautiful shot. Do you know how deep it is?

I think it averages sixty feet but is deeper in places. The local police do scuba certification here and rescue practice as well. Thanks for the comment, Rhonda.
