Description

Ultrafractal 3.02 The nefarious robo-criminal, Cyborg Sam(c), has just escaped from the interstellar penal colony, Rura-Pente, thru an air shaft and hurries to meet his cohorts at a predetermined landing zone just outside. Zounds! No one in the galaxy will be safe if he gets away! Call Captain Kirk! lol I always wanted to have a website called "Cyborg Sam's Eye Candy" so I figured I'd give the name to this guy. (yeah, so he looks like maybe he's sitting in a chair but humor me, ok? lol That will be the next one manana...) Ok, so I usually don't post very often but I've had this and the next one in the series for quite a while and figure, what the heck - go for broke. I won't have much of fractalling time for a while so instead of stressing over it I reckon I'll post some of the stuff I've been holding on to for a while and see what y'all think. I'm always too hard on the fractals I make. No great whiz-bang techniques but, as always, I had to give the composition some "context" with the "air shaft"/inside out orb thingie so that it sorta "tells a story". Off to the salt mines - sure would like a day off! Thanks for stopping by, y'all! Rick **(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! :-)

Very cool work, I think evry piece is on the right place, and knowing you,I am sure you were very careful what to do and where to put. Excelent textures, they are giving you the exact amount of metal witha hint of organic, the light is balanced enough, it has an own precence,so I think it doesn't need improvements. Hugs,Lisa

This is a fantastic work Rick! At first, judging by the thumb, i thought 'hey, he went XD' for it has an incredible 3D look. Form and texture are simply gorgeous. Definitely a worthy exhibition item!!!

I'd not want to meet Cyborg Sam on a dark night, he looks scary. I'm always fascinated by your fractals - the details and textures make them worth looking at over and over and over. Breathtaking and awe-inspiring. Thanks.

Truly stunning work of fractal art Rick! I don't know that adding an eye would do anything to make this image any more fantastic than it is, unless you're really wanting to give it the cyborg effect you'd mentioned. For me, it's amazing and most excellent just as it is! Have a great day!

Rykk, you absolutely must continue to be severely self-critical please. Thus you push yourself into new territory and everyone benefits. Complacency is deadly. Cliff.

He looks like he's just jumped out of a video game! I like every single thing about this - including the hand-held sword! He's WAY cooler than us Zutonians!!! No eye required!

This guy is bristling with enough sensors and antennae that he had no need for such organic silliness as eyes. :) I love this sci-fi comic book styling...very cool!

Go ahead post it all. It's cool. Very sci-fi and we need something different here. Sometimes think that UF can hide both familiar and unfamiliar things to be discovered and the latter can be wonderfully interesting and exciting. This is very exciting. Perfect lighting and the shapes have a very insect feel to them. Almost like a more sinister Rodney Mathews illistration or HR Giger. Love it. Superb.

Wow! This would make an awesome cover for a Science Fiction book or magazine. The textures really make this image come to life! :)

Rykk, Well I for one will be happy to see more of the adventures of Cyborg Sam! And actually it doesn't look like a chair to me. It looks like some type of a device for high speed that shot him out of the tunnel behind him! Wonderfully creative and so well realized! Outstanding art!
