Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 Caught a little grief for my last one so I figured I'd upload something more fractal... This is one a guy at work wants a 4ft long canvas of. Hope he's serious... It uses the General Tent Julia formula in lkm.ufm along with Thingamajigs II (tma2.ucl) and the Popcorn Plasma and fbm Popcorn Traps colorings in Mark Townsend's mt.ucl folder. Wow, between his coloring algorithms and formulas - not to mention Apophysis! - it's amazing how much we all are indebted to this guy along with some others for enabling our obsessions! :-?) Thanks for stopping by! Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

Super "fractal" Rykk ;-) Should look pretty amazing as a 4' canvas ! Actually it almost looks more like a product of XD rather than UF.

I like the almost grey colouring with a bit of purple and brown in it. The shapes are just well chosen. Great piece of artwork.

To have this on canvas and displayed would be an awesome sight. I like your use of texture and particularly the way your colour is centred to the middle of the image. Wonderful shape and form. Your title is also very fitting. Love it.

Hi Rick, I read the comments relating to your Japanese masterpiece, and found some of them very thought provoking. Still do. I don't see how doubts or questioning can be avoided when we strive for the cutting edge of creativity. I'm sure you have your own shifting judgements. Go where they take you. As for the current picture it has a direct simplicity and it breathes in the fractal world - but posting two pictures so quickly? Slow down man! At that, rendering a four foot image could do it for you. Well it's a different sort of comment. Regards, Cliff.

Who better than you to know what a storm looks like! Awesome Fractal Rick! Bravo! BTW, you say, "Caught a little grief for my last one...". As an artist, I can't fathom this "Purist" attitude, since those few who replied in a purist manner, are not the Mathmatician involved in the actual creation of fractals and the fractal tool development, but simply end users with ......! LOL! Sad though! I do hope you continue, as you have in the past to also demonstrate all the capabilties and directions fractals can take.

Very nice one,I particularly like the use of the Popcorn traps, they are working just excelent and give the correct vibration to the image. Wish you luck with that guy:)
