Description
Lots and lots of time and work on this one. I've not drawn a human figure before, so that was a pain, but the rest was fun, tho tedious. You can see the details in a much larger 1600x2000 version
hereThanks for looking.... Maria

Awesome painting, Maria! Gosh, you seem to be able to just about ANYTHING you set your mind to! Have a friend at my new job that paints 2d and on a Wacom tablet. How are you making these?

I'm not sure how you created this but it's a wonderful fantasy full of magic. I know you have been using Painter recently too. Looking closely at this image there's a general softness throughout but just here and there there is great detail, for example, the embroidery work on the wizard's robe, some of the flowers and the bark on the tree. It's those details in contrast with the softness that make this fascinating and encourages the viewer to look much deeper. This would make a wonderful illustration for a book. Well done.
