Description
Created in Ulta Fractal with BringItIn for the couple.
132 layers and 3/4 of those were all masks.
My fractal interpretation of a painting by the fabulous swiss artist, Sandro Del-Prete,
who Escher-inspired images are truly amazing. From the book "Masters of
Deception", by Ed Seckel, a fascinating journey through the art of optical illusion.
Decided to try a fractal, so I won't completely forget how. :)) Now, back to our
regularly scheduled programming, and my forays into digital painting with my
Painter program. I just got my new "Painter" book from Ballistic Publishing in.
It's fabulous! Those interested in digital art, per say, should check out the website.
They have quite a selection of exquisite books there: www.ballisticpublishing.com.
Thanks for looking and thanks for your comments on my mixed medium images. ...Maria

This is great - I love Escher!

VERY cool and, yep, Escher-esque! Sure looks like you haven't forgotten anything at all about fractalling/UF'ing, Maria. Masterful use of the tools!

132 layers?? holy #$@! that's alot! and i thought one layer in UF was had enough. as for the image, it's great, and very escher-ish

WOW! Yes, that's very Escher-like, indeed! That's wild!

you are so amazing, experimenting with all this new stuff and getting where you want to get..I call that a real artist.

If you had forgotten something about making fractals it would be less than what a lot of us know at all. Truly masterful, amazing, wonderous work. Bravo!

~VOTE~!!! Fantastic artwork!!!

very cool! i love optical illusions!

A most interesting work. And I think you just feel uncomfortable with less than 100 layers :-)

This is fascinating - your mastery of UF is truly amazing. I visited 'The Puzzling Place' in Keswick yesterday which has lots of optical illusions and holograms, Escher, even an 'anti'gravity' room. Quite a coincidence to then open up Rendo this morning and find this!

You have really a very creative mind and mastering 132 layers that is simply not to believe for me ,but i know you can do that with your special talent and patience On the another side it seems also to be the optimal challenge :-) I think you can do this in 2 hours in each good grapich program without 1 parameter LOL But i have the full respect for your talent the only thing i miss is a nice heart between the both persons

A excellent and very creative realization my friend....!!!

Spectacular optical illusion, and wonderful fractal elements! Bravo Maria!

A wonderful optical illusion and the kissing couple make a great centre piece to the whole composition. You have even added shadows. This must have taken a lot of time and an enormous amount of skill. (132 layers with the majority of them as masks is hard work but worth every effort). Very unique and superbly done. Many thanks Maria for the link too.
