It's a gorgeous shot Richard. Superb light, which you captured, magnificently. I bet if I had tried to take that shot, there would have been too much light present. This is excellent! Steve :o) V!

It's a rock and it has no mineral of economic value-- so it will probably contiune to be available for viewing for centuries. What place to play.

Wonderful image. Is it called " sleeping lion " or did you just see the resemblance. Pretty cool. It does look like one. We have a rock here in Pojoaque near the highway, that is called " Camel Rock" It looks exactly like a camel. I love it when rock formations looks like something. Did you ever get to NH...Franconia to be exact. There was a rock formation high on a cliff over looking a lake that was called " Old Man of the Mountain " He looked like a native american chief. Was there all my life and in the last few years, it fell apart due to extremely cold and unseasonable warm weather see sawing up and down one winter. Such a sad thing for me. It drews hundreds of thousands to the state to see it. lol. Anyway, this redrock is beautiful. I always admire it when I see it here in NM. I live on the side of the Rockies which is more fertile, but on the other side, barely a stones throw, it is redrock country. I tried one time to take a photo of the redrock agains the green mountains behind it, which had snow on the peak, to show the constrast. I figured nobody would believe it. lol. I wonder if I have that image somewhere. It was done with a film camera so probably I dont have a print. I would love to show it to you. God, I am writing a letter here. lol. Dont get me started on redrock. LOVE IT !!!!
