Nice work, I especially like the blurring. Maybe a little too much glow around the leaf edges though, but very nice =)

Cool image :) .. although for such a soft effect you have some pretty sharp shadows on the leaves - perhaps use large soft shadows instead :) -darkness

Great looking image. You have the DOF 'almost' right. There looks to be just a little too much 'halo' at the edges of the leafs/petals where your differing blurs meet, and the blur could be applied to the far leafs. Looks great though. :) As for the shadow. Not sure on this one. I think if your doing a bright sunlight scene then hard-shadows are the way to go, as that is the look you get from the ol 10,000,000 watt blub in the sky. However, people always pick up on it and say use soft-shadows. ??

sdaniels: dude, about the shadows, you never have 100% hard shadows from the sun, only from pointlight, and since they don't exist in nature you will always have soft shadows, and since the sky is also reflecting light from the sun you get a scene wich is illumenated from all sides. when the sun is shining outside, there are NEVER 100% dark shadows comming from the sun alone. FOR THE IMAGE: nice going! but I already said that on illumenal.com ;)

Wonderful model....I like the variation in the leaves....doesn't look like your average 3d model.
