Negative image lends this a sort of conflict between heat and cold. But then you've already said that so well in the title :-)

Is this from a picture of the wood before Wayfarer or did you dismantle Wayfarer to do this one? This is so different, but very exciting to view. I love the effects you created here with the reflections. It is a mystery my mind can't grasp Jim. Excellent! V

@Suzanne, there's a link under the original Wayfarer post that shows the sculpture as it was prior to painting; I used that shot, made it a negative and flipped the orientation of it, among other things. The paint texture I overlaid is from an abstract painting I did about a decade ago :-)

Really neat!...to me it's got kind of a fossil feel to it...just the first thing that came to mind when I saw it.
