Description

Howsit! While shooting this inlet at sunrise, I was oblivious to the presence of someone standing in my peripheral vision. But that's a normal thing for me, just so involved in what's going on thru the lens I don't see much else going on around me. When I finally did look up this young surfer girl was staring at me and asked if it was ok to go out through this inlet. Being the gentlemen I am....yeah uh huh....I motioned for her to go ahead...all the while thinking "this is great, I couldn't pay someone to go out while I have my camera set up"....off she went and this is the result. Thank heaven for little girls~ Many thanks for your past comments on my ocean images...I really do appreciate your generous feedback. A good evening and great tomorrow to everyone...Mahalo~

LOL! You struck gold that day my friend. This composition is absolutely amazing, and a big part of it is that girl. What a fantastic shot.......I WANNA COME VISIT HAWAIIIIIIIIIII!!!!! Sigh....oh well...i better go walk Eija now. We had 2.5ft of snow last night so its rather fun seeing her totally disappear. If youre lucky you can spot an ear or something sticking up from beneath the snow, lol. Have a wonderful day buddy! #:O) MAS4EVA!!!!

It couldn't have worked out better.Landscapes are beautiful to see,for sure, but it's so refreshing to see people in them! Not only do they add scale, but they can really give a 'you are there' feel to a shot.A wonderful opportunity with a fabulous result.Mahalo.-M :^)

Timing is everything. You may have been lucky that she was there at the right time, but you picked the perfect shutter speed for this wave. Well done.
