Description

I took to heart some of the suggestions you guys made about the flames. Been working on the motor and interior, still have a few bugs to work out. Thanks for the feed back guys, I always try to lesson, and learn.

Is that shifter a piston? Looking good, though the flames are still a bit odd, if you ask me

The flame stretching is mostly gonem you can eliminate the illusion if the texture stretching totally by adding some flame tips just above the grill. But that is only a matter of asthetics. My question is, your renders always have a bright oversaturateed illustrative style. I was wondering if this was intentional.

flames look alot better than last time!!!! for teh chrome..try to lessen teh difuss down to around 20% also, a better light, like a area light would help the render...looks like you are in teh right direction!!!

Yep, That's a piston on the gear shift, if you ever saw the movie "American Graffiti" Milner's coupe had a piston gear shift. The flames are done more in the new "realistic" mood, rather then the traditional flames we're all use to seeing. And yep, I turn up the saturation on the colors, just like the way it looks. I'll try turning down the diffuse on the chrome though. Right now I'm just using a single light for the test renders (renders faster), but once I do the final render we'll set up the lighting better. Thanks for the feed back guys!
