Description

From the same place as yesterday I approach the water and shoot this picture in a different orientation, adding the rock in front of me. The dry part of the rock is bright and the wet part has become dark. The Brienzer See is a lake with a length of 14 km (8.7 mile) and an average width of about 5 km (about 3 mile) and a depth of maximal 260 meter (853 feet). It is a natural lake fed by the Aare river, and this river eventually merges into the Rhine. Lovely POV, Jan-Carel. It looks so clean, so 'chocolate box' or 'biscuit box' in quality. Thanks for sharing this with us. I had a couple of bad days, when everything seemed to go wrong. Yes, we have all had them. As a result I expected a serious 'bawling out' this morning for something which I had forgotten to do. God made my apology miraculously 'still the unquiet waters'. My morning ended up being as problem and stress-free, as this lovely lake reflection. I shall install it on my desktop. Thanks. Regards, John.

The serenity and beauty of this photograph allows on to focus inward and open up to the surrounds one beholds. Though I am in my house, I feel a sense that I am actually by the lake. There is much power in this image. Yet also being a perfectionist, I find one very slight and I mean slight distraction. You have a super reflection on the water, yet there are two branches reflected on the left side that I fear is a disruption in ones focus. It is something I would retouch in order to maintain the concentration one has on the reflection and the changes allowing one to begin seeing beneath the water. Never-the-less, thank you for sharing a remarkable experience. Egmont
