Description

She called to the trees, She called to the wood. She summoned around her All that was good. She needed the majick Of nature around, From the sky up above to down on the ground. Nature responded With heart full of love, She watched and she waited with eyes of a dove. She knew what was needed and what now must be, She is older than hills, As old as the sea. She listened to words Floating over the sky, Words of hope whispered out in a sigh. A request for a soulmate Someone who'd be true A man filled with strength With faults that are few. 'This could not be' Thought Nature so sad, For good men have suffered And now have turned bad. 'It's with deep regret alone you must stay' Nature bowed low Then flew away. So sad was the fairy, Her life joy now dead. She sank to her knees and bowed her fey head. A stirring of air Had her shiver and shake. A sound on the hill Really brought her awake. She looked through the mist In the swirling cool air, A tall man approached With long golden hair. 'I'm sorry you waited For I was detained' His garments were wrinkled torn and all stained. 'An old lady walking Called me aside, Said there was a lady Who needed a guide.' 'Where might you go?' He asked with a smile, Her eyes opened wide And she thought for a while. 'From here until then' She answered with grace, Then rose off the ground With pure joy on her face.

Thanks Steve. I worked, then reworked, then read it aloud like Drace68 always says to. It took me all of 20 minutes (no, not bragging, just being honest). I love it when words flow together effortlessly. It is a real blessing from the Lord.

Thank you Thelby. I had created the Terragen image first, then was inspired to write the poem when I saw the mist swirling to the sky.

Thanks my friends, it is so heartwarming to hear comments like this. I am just glad that my romantic side did not die along with my marriage. It just got a few intersting bumps and bruises.. LoL. Kinda like going to play SplatAttack Paintball. Have a great day all!
