Description

Sorry I haven't been around lately...have been busy. :-( I shot this about 45 minutes ago (6 pm) and the lighting as usual was not the best. I did not run it through noise filter because it seems to soften some of the details. Anyway this is a katydid nymph and boy was he tiny! (the only reason I even spotted him was because of those long striped antennae) I wish my camera would have allowed me to shoot him just a little bit closer. Thank you for your much appreciated comments and have a wonderful weekend! Wendy Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30

still an excellent capture. I almost never see small grasshoppers. they grow so quick. before you know they are grown and have left for greener pastures. always a joker in the weeds

Awww!!! Isn't just the cutest little bugger you've ever seen?! Better keep him away from 'The Frog Prince' though. Libel to end up being an horderve. (You lucky girl!! You end up finding some pretty cool little guys.) {{VOTE}}

A katydid nymph? Never heard of katydids, it's a remarkable creature but characteristic enough to be determined I guess! Impressive capture, Wendy, it's stunning to see the wide variety in the living nature! :)
