Description

...well, another impression of a mountain river, this time I was trying to catch the fresh and clean feel of spring. And another tryout to push the limits with ecosystems :) The usual toolbox: Vue 5 Infinite, Poser 4 PP (the birds), Onyxtree, Bantam3D "Grass 7", Photoshop CS for minor corrections (mainly to the colour/levels balance). Treedesign by me, except some Vue "Spring Birches" in the background ecosystem. Yellow "mustard flowers" from Toucan, the blue "snapdragons" are from my own "Wildflower Collection" found in the freestuf section here. - Some of you may have noticed that the water surface here is not "evenly disturbed" - I thought I'd try to make an impression of a still running stream, where the surface is "broken" by a slight breeze - it's made with a mixed material: Two almost identical water materials, one without bumps and one with a slight bump added, then mixed with one of the Vue functions ("Soft Spots" I think I ended up with). Some 4.750 mio polys, rendered in 2 hrs. in Broadcast mode (1600x1200 original render). Hope you like this - thanks for your comments on my last ones, comments etc. on this one will be very much appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

I think you've succeeded in the feeling. Even before I saw your explanation I thought how fresh and new everything look, like it was just rainwashed. V

You are a TRUE artist! This looks like both a painting and a photo and the composition is perfect, as my eye is lead around the scene! Truely breath taking - spring breaths! :))

Beautiful landscape/vegetation. Everything has that clean, crisp Spring look to it. Love that water! (I'll bet it's cold)

This is one of the most realistic landscapes I've seen in a long time... Truly great work... It's realistic while at the same time having a painterly quality... I love how the water and the land meet, very realistic, I love the use of foliage, very realistic again, all in all, a beautiful landscape very well done... :)
