Description

-- All Alone -- A shot of one of the few trees on the bare Twisleton Scar, Ingleborough. Normally the tree is shot in isolation but when I looked at the pictures I took this one with the snow-capped Ingleborough as a backdrop seemed to stand out as being different. It may be distracting from the starkness of the tree but I liked - hope you do too. Thanks for viewing and your comments on this picture and the previous ones in this short series.

Like you I am entranced by the structure of trees, however adding the contrasting background of the mountain adds perspective and a wonderful depth. Brilliant, clear colours & contrast of textures.

As it is shot here, it's not distracting at all (agree with Rona). But as in your previous image, I think a little bit more darkness in the bright textures and sky would give the image a more dramatic look.

Beauty of a scenic shot! I wouldn't worry about the background distracting from the tree...I am sure you took some great shots of the tree by itself as well.

I think it's a great compo here...the tree leads my eye to the mountain in the background. I think the single tree is overdone, this is a nice change...Well done! Aloha!

I honestly dont think you could composed this any better. Sure its always pretty with an isolated tree...but with a snowcovered hill like that in the back it makes for a much more interesting compo. Gorgeous capture. Have a great day. #:O)
