Jones Beach State Park,Long Island,New York
Hi there!
This past Saturday it was almost 70 degress F,which is highly unusual for New York in March.It should be in the thirties!
So naturally I thought it might be nice to go down to the beach and take some shots.Apparently,I wasn't the only one,lol.
This was taken fairly late in the day.But it wasn't this dark.I did that in PS,lol.There was something oddly surreal about the silhouettes of the people there...it looked to me as if people were being drawn to the water like a magnet,and it reminded me of the movie 'City of Angels'.So I thought I'd try to play that up a bit.
Anyway,I thought I'd upload it and see what you think.

OH MY GOD!!!! Those silhouettes are the best silhouettes i have ever seen!!! I love how that guys hair look, blowing in the wind like that. And children digging in the sand. Marlene, this shot is truly beautiful!!!! Will ya look at all those people!!! It almost looks like theyre pilgrimming to some distant land or something, far away from their daily issues....like vacuuming...sigh...just remembered that i have to do that. #:o( Brilliant upload M. Besides nice ducks...heheh these silouhettes have to be among my favourite style.You are right.The people seem drawn to the water. Like a magnet, the sun and warmth of the day just attracts. what I realy like here is the bright glow you have on water, and that small section of orange/red cloud.Just enough contrast to really make it effective.Another strong point is the wind blowing that hair.This gives the image a feel of animation. Well seen Marlene.(rhyme)

Great leading lines, eye goes in a big zig zag front left to right horizon, & a lovely silhouette. I know EXACTLY what you mean about "City of Angels" too. Stunning, soulful image, gets my vote. I think I would have titled it "City of Angels...fade to black" and left the description blank....
