Description

Aloha! In the spirit of giving everything a try, I decided to try my hand at shooting water drops. My first attempts were rather dismal failures, with many brilliant shots of a pot of water...no splashes just blurry water. I decided that before I slammed dunked the ole camera into the pot of water I'd better consult the "Master of the Drippy Drops" and see if he could tutor me along. In no time at all Andreas aka Zacko IM me and gave me a detailed account of his success with shooting drops. So armed with his instructions and new determination I pulled out the old potato pot, set up the tripod, and started shooting once more. Andreas instructions took much of the guess work out of shooting the drops, and after many shots I was able to salvage a few that I thought I could work with. Even with instructions that are precise, hand and eye co-ordination still plays a big part in your success rate. It took me a bit to get the hang of timing each shot to get the required effect, but I was able to overcome this obstacle with sheer stubbornness. This is my first post of drops so go easy on me....*~* Thanks Andreas for all your help with this shoot...and for all of you that think this is a cake walk to do....give it a try sometime when you got a day to kill. If you want to see what real drops look like taken from a pro, check out Zacko's gallery....you will be in for a treat! So this one is for you buddy, not the best I'm sure, but I got the hang of it and hope to give it a try again... Also want to send a shout out to Marlene as she also encouraged me to keep at it...I seemed to have been crying in my beer one day in the Forum and she gave me a shoulder to cry on...Thanks Girl! MAS4EVA!! Much Aloha to all of you that sent me IM's after my surgery, and I'm here to let ya know I'm much better and feeling like my uppity little self...Like Taco Bell...."I'm good to go!" Aloha Ya'll
