Yes, it's true. On the internet, I'm a rather dull, mild-mannered digital artist, but in real life, I am actually Superfrog.
"Faster than a speeding dragonfly, stronger than a flathead catfish. Able to leap ten hungry alligators in a single bound. Look! Out in the swamp! It's a bird. It's a boat. It's Superfrog!"

For me, ideas are like butterflies that are flittering around by the dozens. Just grab one and render it, then move on to the next.
BIO:
I began 3D art with Bryce 3 in April 1999. Before that I played with various 2D styles and techniques. Back in the mid-70's and 80's, I worked in metal sculpture and had a line of "frog prints" selling in stores all over Southern California and Arizona. I have been in art in some capacity since childhood. Since the computer came along, I 've pr3etty much lost touch with brushes, pens and pencils which I regret.

If you did what I think you did it is a very cool experiment indeed!! And opens up the possibility to try some interesting effects. I'll IM you my proposed answer so it doesn't spoilt it for others if I am right.

I don't have a clue. I can only visualize mulireplicate stuff. I hope you share how somewhere along the line.

I think you cheated, of course! ;-)) ten renders?
vangogh
I sort of agree with lemonjim, only I think it was one render in Bryce and one cone tool in photoshop....just kidding of course. But I do hope you visit the forum and tell us how you really did it. Fantastic visual effect and very simple too.

Darn, where are those Bryce tutorial and help files when ya need em the most! Best of luck to all! I like this image allot, I looked long and hard at it, and enjoyed the shadow squares while my eyes captured the oval shapes. Very cool Dave! (=

I think that there is a mirror surface somewhere.

Got it. And it renders in 7 seconds. But I only have 9 sets.

Excellent minimalistic work with soft, soothing light. I'd love to see a larger render of this one.

Man, I can't figure it out. Everything I can even remotely think of doesn't fit. If you can get 10 duplicate images of one cylinder, with their 10 shadows why do you need 10 spotlights? Wouldn't the lighting of one spotlight be part of the mirroring? It's gonna be interesting to learn this one. I think Xenic deserves 10 bonus points if he really figured it out.
