Description

The method to yesterday's image and this one, is below, for those that want to figure it out. This has one cube, 7 square spotlights and an infinite plane. A basic grey color on the ground and a basic green for the cube. No transparency mat.

answer: Yesterdays- The lights were made positive and the cylinder negative, going right through the middle of the tilted lights. Booleaned together, they form an interesection of sorts. Today's- The lights are negative and the cube is positive, creating a similar, but different effect

I don't know jack about Bryce, but the things you create with it are astounding. The dark --- light green transition in the centerpiece looks very good on the creamy background, and somehow I can't make it stop bouncing in my mind - it's like a cubic slinky going up and down in the air. Fantastic piece of digital art!

Aside from taking forever to render I wonder what would happen if you used volumetric lights? Hmmmmm.... Very cool continuation of yesterday's experience

Cool effect, I would never had the idea of booleaning light with primitives.

This is so fun! I am constantly amazed when someone figures out a cool effect by just simply doing something nontraditional and out of the norm with the basic tools of the program. I cannot seem to get my brain to go in those directions. It follows the ruts of what is obvious and described. Nice work!

O.K., I give up. You have to tell us! Your images are so well done. I could do this (maybe) but not without a transparent Mat..Dammit! Tell us! Great image.
