his one's for my fellow Battlestar Galactica fans out there. My computer had been out of action for a while on account of my hard drive failing on me. This is why I haven't posted anything in nearly a month. Luckily, I was able to recover all of my work, thereby avoiding catastrophe on many levels. For my first work on the new HD, I figured I'd to a fanart piece, as Battlestar Galactica is my very favorite show on TV, perhaps of all-time. This is adapted from the second part of the Season 2 Finale. The fleet is in the process of jumping into the orbit of the world known as New Caprica, after newly-elected President Baltar (boooooo!) orders Admiral Adama to bring the fleet there. The planet and its star are enshrouded in a nebula (hence the reason for some of the haziness in the scene), thus keeping it hidden from Cylon sensors and providing a safe haven for humanity to settle on. Here, the first ships are exiting their jumps. Done entirely in Photoshop CS...no pre-rendered objects. Feel free to comment. Enjoy!
