Description

I could not get over how electric and vibrant the plumage of this bird was. His look spoke volumes. ----- Lorikeet family Psittacidae Lorikeets and lories are small, brightly coloured, highly aboreal parrots. They are usually classified as Loriinae, the most clearly distinct of the several rather uncertain subfamilies within the Psittacidae. Noisey birds, they are quite friendly and adapt well to human contact. ----- Thanks for stopping by and for your flighty comments on my last photo, Broad-tailed Hummingbird.

Oh wow, an ornithologic rainbow shining over us here! Gorgeous work, Kort, your birds show us the beauty of them while Hitchcock showed another side of them, so I am glad to see your side of this part of the kingdom of animals! :)

:::giggles::: He looks like he's about to deliver some horribly sarcastic comment at any moment. Or else break into an angry speach about something. This is wonderful.

Yup! He doesn't look too friendly at the moment! The last time a bird looked at me like that ...I lost a few layers of skin. It took months for the skin to grow back. Seriously, DOH! Beautiful capture Kort! Hope you used your telephoto for this one, or at least escaped unscathed! Have a great day.
