Description

A closer look to the bottom side of the ice reveals a stunning world of ice stalactites, probably created by the retreating water of the lake. I've never seen anything like this, it's fragile and mainly disconnected. From top to bottom it's about 10 cm (4 inches). The contrast between light and dark is always beautiful, but the blue is just brilliant. Love the textures and light. What a wonderful find =)

A lovely frisson from this one, Jan-Carel. It looks so like a lace made from ice, but so transient. Then it is dipped into the lake. I hope that you had a good weekend. Regards, John.
