Description

Hi Everyone, Well this photo was taken at Hamilton Island. These yellow crested white cockatoos loved flying in on our balcony. So i couldnt resist taking a few shots. They arent caged but are wild and fly free. This is my first experiment in RAW format. Hope you enjoy and thanks for comments. Chris:)

Superb portrait, the format raw seems be the better but it's not possible to take alot of shot on the cf! that's the big problem... excellent weekend!

Hi Chris, long time no see! Sure its lovely to see these birds free, but they become annoying when there are almost 100 in a flock, and they're squaking at 5.30am!!! Doesnt take away from the amazing macro though. Excellent shot =)

Your first attempt? It would seem that the "Raw" format is something you had studied for in order to have taken such a tremendous picture. You can almost count the feathers and smell the banana. Great job - well done!!

Now there's a pretty bird, lovely lighting and colors. RAW is the only way to go, you will have so much more control over your images than JPEG. To me the it's like apples and oranges. Worth the extra steps to get there...great shot! Aloha!
