Description

Hello Everyone, Hope this finds you all well and happy. This is the second photo of the wild yellow crested cockatoos. One thing i did notice was they all ate from the right claw. Not one ate from left. Interesting. Thanks for viewing and comments always welcomed. Chris:)

Hi Chris, hope this find you well and happy to:) Another lovely shot of a very majestic bird. Fascinating about their eating habits. But then again don't we use our same hand to eat? ATB Steve

All of them eating from their right claw you say? LMAO...arent you paying attention to the small details. #:oD Cockatoos huh? Isnt that the sound a locomotive makes in the english proverb? What is proverb anyway? Is that even a word? Oh well. Oooh...Im pro verbs...but anti adjectives, LOL. Ooops...sorry...ramble alert. Anywhoo...the shot, yes. Absolutely beautiful Chris. Very commercial looking in a way, like it would be perfect for a bird book or something. Enough bla bla. Have a wonderful weekend, hope your jaw is better. #:O)

You write that they are wild and that is something I find not only wonderful but exciting. These last three weeks I have seen large groups of wild turkeys in our neighborhood, including two weeks ago a large flock flew over our house that my son say but I missed. Never the less, they did land in my neighbors back yard and it was one incredible sight to be hold. Several days later I saw the biggest group of wild turkeys yet. There were eighteen females and seven toms grazing. Once in a while I hear them. They have been in our area for only two years and this is the first year that anyone has seen them. I hope they stick around. As for your photograph, I love how you managed to have the moment in which they are both eating like humans at a table. Is there a third one or is that part of a tree trunk far off to the right? In closing, I find seeing nature slightly recover in the few remaining open spaced a most thrilling experience. Thank you for sharing Egmont

Excellent shot. I guess no left hand eating is allowed by this troop. I wonder if they kick you out of the group if you use your left? :)

Those can't be crackers they're eating. They look like the "Doublemint Twins." Do birds chew gum?
