Description

After reading Dave Makin's "plea" in the forum this morning, I'm almost afraid to post this one... ;) It's an interesting thread, though... and it prompted me to perform a gamma and brightness/contrast test on this aging CRT of mine. Turns out that it was alot darker/murkier than is considered optimum... so I made the necessary corrections and now I'm pretty much blinded by science! lol! I still need to calibrate this beast somehow... but the software for that makes me nervous... yeah, I know... what a pansy! ;)

Thanks for clicking through for a closer look... and for all the encouraging and kind feeback on my previous efforts. UF with border and sig in PSP. Hugs! Helen :)

Very attractive and colorful. I read Dave Makin's plea also. Haven't done anything to my monitor however. You are brave!

This creation is blinding in its beauty. Suffice to say that it brings the rush of pride and joy present when first viewing of that tiny plant showing its " firs prize bloom " after the dark blanket of winter is lifted by the sun.

Beautiful! Has very a retro-Victorian feel. I've calibrated my CRT monitor several times and it's not as tough as it sounds. :) Check the manufacturerer's site; they may have calibration software for your model CRT or check Sourceforge. Again, great image!

Beautiful colours which compliment each other very well and suit this particular fractal - I think this is exactly what Dave Makin is on about!!

An elegant symmetry: ..fine colorwork-(of course)-and strong counterpoint between the texture and the smooth...

A beautiful fractal Helen! Love the textures in this! I too think it has a Victorian feel to it!

Beautiful one :) And I had to smile at your note, cause I have recently calibrated my monitor and I'm considering wearing shades sometimes ;)

Beautiful! An elegant piece of symmetry; the design and detailing are wonderful..and the colors, so yummy. And, when it comes to calibrating, I'm the biggest wuss of them all. :~)

You look pretty well calibrated from here;) Helen, you could just name all your fractals "Joy" and put a number after them, because they are all a joy to see. The contrasting colours JUMP off the screen in this beauty.

It was an interesting discussion in the forum, I'll have to go take another look to see what's been added. Looks great to me, I think the artist's perception of their colors is the important thing, who know's what anyone else sees.
