Description

Good Evening Everyone!!!!! Today I am posting a pic. of the crayfish that is in our 55 gallon aquarium also. This little guy is tough! I posted a shot of our Oscar yesterday, and this crayfish believe it or not, rules the Oscar! He's already gotten ahold of the Oscar's bottom fin and split it. Very territorial fish. They dig out a hole wherever they fancy. Mainly where there is a current & a large source of food! I'm going to try to post shots of all our exotic fish over the next few days. Some of them are just real shy when it comes to being watched. Nothing exciting going on. Have time off. Work is really slow, so I'm enjoying being lazy & doing absolutely NOTHING for a change. Well, my Spring cleaning & stuff, but I'm one of hte weird ones that truly enjoys to clean, so it's not work to me! Hope everyone has a great evening! Thanks for viewing/commenting! Big Hugs, Velvet.

I use to play with crawdads as a kid after heavy rains and they would come up for air but I never gave a thought of eating one. I tried in Houston but it was not to my liking. super macro

They eat them here in Tn. too! A place called Crawdaddies that specializes in them! But they don't taste too well to me! So, why not keep them as a pet?! LOL

This is awesome !!! did you buy or catch this guy? can't wait to see your other 'fishy' shots :o) I love aquariums...had one for years, but alas, none now...with 3 cats I'm sure there'd be trouble galore LOL hugs

I've actually raised a few of them as pets before. It's really cool to see them shed their shells. When my children were little, that's how I taught them about science. We also had a little catfish fry that we raised until it got almost two feet long. It got donated to our local fish hatchery. My kids still talk about those days.

OK, so Ozzy thinks he rules! At least as long as he stays out of Craw's pinching distance (LOL). You can tell Ozzy I still think he rules! I hope all is fantastic with you and yours (Hi Duane). Have a wondermous day all!
