Great scene. Some of those cast iron grills are great, I've got a couple that look like these and wouldn't give them up for anything (I like to cook too), and I'd love to try some of those strange dishes... once anyway, lol...

Wonderful. Thank you for reminding us of how hard it used to be just to prepare a meal. We are so blessed to have all of these new gadgets. I've cooked many meals on a wood stove and must admit that although the food was great. I prefer my gas and electricity today. Thank you!!

My grandma used to have a stove like that when I was growing up! For some reason, bacon always tasted better being fried on that thing then at home with mom! Wonderful capture of this piece of history!

Hey, Jock. I've seen pics of you eating floresent paint. Do you eat crawdads? Ever sucked the heads? I have, it was salty. Did you add salt and pepper grain to this photo? Made it cajun style, huh. lol

Been there, done that (and much more primitive than that too). Just how much time is spent earning the money to pay for gadgets and appliances that supposedly make life "easier", hoho.
