Description

Shoot Info - Shot Wednesday, Mar 15, 2006. The goal was to recreate World War 2 era (1940s) pin-ups and Military Aircraft nose-art of the time as best as possible with limited resources. The shoot was shot with a High Key backlight and purposly trying to make the models look more washed out for an artistic painted mimic. Model - Catherine Allen. She's expierienced in Pin-Up photography, which made for some great ideas on the spot! A lot of fun to work with! Photo Notes - This was one of those candid moments that came out really cool. While not really a 1940's pin-up, it's a great unique expression with the .50 Cal prop. I'll have to post at some point in the series one of the first images I shot when we started with this pose. I said 'Okay, how about an expression like as if this was the first time that you've ever fired a .50 Cal machine gun'... her expression for that one was even more funny than this one! Currently, Catherine and I are setting up a second photo session for more pin-ups! Photo Details - Taken with a Canon Rebel EOS 5D (12mp) and Canon 28-105mm USM lens. Shot at a studio where I work in Anaheim, CA.

I am glad you returned to this series of images. Perhaps a bit more thigh than before but that is not the point of the shot and such is clear. You have wonderful models and your photography and set-up does it all justice, very much so.
