Description

TGIF!!!!!!!!!! Hope everybodies week has gone well! It's time to enjoy the weekend with family and friend's! Decided to stray away from the aquariums for awhile. The fish get real testy with the silver camera for some reason! Shiny things seem to scare the smaller ones! This little guy hanging from the side of this pine tree is one of our neighbors! We've 3 or 4 of them that come and raid the bird feeders and their special treats too! a lot of people around here get really upset about the squirrels stealing the bird seed. Me-I personally don't care! I actually get a hoot out of watching them try to manuever themselves to reach the darn things! And they do land on their feet if they fall-just like cats! We got a couple that fight and chase each other & that is what this one is doing-hiding from the bigger one at the feeder! Well, hope everyone enjoys their weekends! Hopefully it will start getting warmer soon! Thanks for viewing/commenting & reading all of my ramble! Big hugs, Velvet.

My neighbor has this really huge old oak tree in their front yard. Every year we watch the new family of squirrels come scampering out at the beginning of Spring. They come scooting across the road to the dish of corn feed that I put out for them. Then they'll get to chasing each other around & around our tree. It's funny to watch and everybody loves them. Guess it all depends on if people care more about the birds or all the critters combined. What our squirrels don't eat, the birds do. Thanks for sharing your image & story with us. Have a great weekend.

He he, cute little fellow! He seems a bit unsure of which "tree" to climb. Excellent shot!

Aren't they just the funniest little guys? We used to feed and watch them by the hours and they never seemed to get too concerned about us, one way or the other.

one of my clients bought an expensive bird feeder that was supposed to be squirrel proof but I took pictures of a squirrel upside down hanging on like a monkey eating away. she was so mad. I hate the buggers because they are rodents and they do lots of damage to homes

Great capture Velvet. The squirrels around here won't stay still long enough to get a good shot. Thanks for sharing with us.
